folk music in Portsmouth

Our format is a singaround the room with an M/C just to make sure everyone gets their turn. If you prefer to just listen or take an occasional turn that is entirely up to you.

Our Music is folk - traditional and modern - so we welcome singers of folk songs, players of folk tunes, acoustic instruments, single person or joint offerings. We do try to keep our idenitity as an acoustic folk music club.

The bar is available all through the evening - a ring of the bell will bring one of the bar staff through from the main bar to the function room.

See you any and every Wednesday. : ))

A FRIENDLY WELCOME TO THE BROADSIDE FOLK CLUB

Many folk clubs like to claim to be friendly and welcoming, but the Broadside actually is. We welcome all styes, abilities and interpretations of what constitutes folk music. Come and enjoy a warm welcome, whether playing a tune, singing a song or just listening. The room is open from 7.30ish onwards and we start at 8pm. Come early and introduce yourself and meet some of the current perfomers.

See you soon

John and Sue and all the Broadside 'artists' : ))
